PeaceHealth St. John Medical Center Foundation
Supporting Care Close to Home
In 1943, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace responded to the call of the Longview Community to
keep care close to home by opening a shuttered hospital and operating it as St. John Hospital.
Today, philanthropic support from the community is the vital component that keeps
exceptional care close to home and allows for technology upgrades, continued caregiver
education and patient and family support at our region’s designated Sole Community Hospital.
With each gift to PeaceHealth St. John Foundation, we expand local access to the latest
technologies and treatments in the fight against serious illnesses like heart disease, stroke,
and cancer. Through generous donors, we support compassionate, expert care for anyone who
turns to us, regardless of their ability to pay.
And, we do it here, right in Longview, close to home.
The PeaceHealth St. John Foundation Board provides oversight to the solicitation, receipt,
administration and use of philanthropic funds.
